- Slanskly, Rudolf
- (1901-52)Czechoslovakian communist. He joined the communist party but was criticized for his opportunistic policy. In 1939 he went into exile. Later he became secretary-general of the Czechoslovakian communist party and later president. He was arrested and removed from all party posts. He was tried for espionage, high treason and sabotage and executed.
